Dr. Jake Livesay

Dr. Jake Livesay founded Mason Livesay Scientific (d.b.a., IB3 Global Solutions) in 2012 following his departure from Oak Ridge National Lab. His support to DOE’s Second Line of Defense program began in 2007, as an ORISE postdoc in nuclear non-proliferation. Dr. Livesay went on to become a staff member, traveling throughout the former Soviet Union to train foreign partners on the analysis of data generated by USG-supplied radiation portal monitors. An expert in lab-based radiation measurements, environmental radiation measurements, and experimental conceptualization, Dr. Livesay is the technical thought leader for IB3 Global. He has been awarded four U.S. patents for applications supporting radiation detection and tamper indication. Dr. Livesay completed his Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of Texas and Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics at the Colorado School of Mines.
